Your questions, answered
These are the questions Belconnen parents ask us most. If yours isn't here, call us on 02 5550 9934.
What age groups does Brightsparks care for?
We care for children from six weeks to school age across three programs: Nursery (6 weeks–2 years), Toddlers (2–3 years) and our Preschool program (3–5 years).
Are you approved for the Child Care Subsidy?
Yes. Brightsparks is approved for the Child Care Subsidy, so eligible families can apply to reduce their fees.
How is Brightsparks rated, and who teaches my child?
We are rated Exceeding the National Quality Standard, and every room is led by degree-qualified early childhood teachers.
Are meals provided, or do I need to pack lunch?
All meals are cooked on site each day, for every age group, from first solids in the Nursery through to Preschool lunches.
What does a typical day look like for my child?
Days are built around play-based learning, with time in our garden, meals cooked on site, rest periods for younger children, and structured learning activities in Preschool.
How do I enrol my child?
Get in touch with our Belconnen team by phone or through our contact page, and we'll guide you through enrolment and the Child Care Subsidy application.
Can we visit the centre before deciding?
Yes. We welcome families to plan a visit and see our rooms, garden and daily routines before enrolling.
What are your opening hours?
We're open Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm, in Belconnen.
